What’s more fun than minions? Well, it doesn’t get more fun than Minions Rice Krispy Treats, does it? It’s a win-win; fun and sweet on the old taste buds.

What’s not to love about the Minions Rice Krispy Treats? They are easy to make, sweet, fun, and seriously, they are minions! The Minions are some of the coolest guys on the block :). This recipe calls for a box of Rice Krispy treats, which makes things easier for sure, but don’t hesitate to make your own either. For detailed ingredients and directions, you can skip down to the printable recipe card.

There is a number of ways you can melt candy melts. However, if you do a lot with candy melts, you might consider purchasing a melting pot. I have been using my Wilton melting pot for years. I absolutely love it and it’s lasted YEARS!

Ingredients

Rice Krispy Treats

Candy Melts (yellow and blue)

Edible Eyes

Cookie Icing (black and gray)

Directions:

Start out by unwrapping each Rice Krispy Treat and set aside for later.

Melt candy blue candy melts

Dip half of the Rice Krispy Treat into the blue candy melt and set on parchment paper until it’s hardened.

Melt yellow candy melts.

Dip the other half of the Rice Krispy Treat into the yellow candy melt, set on parchment paper.

While yellow candy melt is still a little wet, place the edible eyes on and allow to dry completely.

Use the gray icing and place a thin line around the eyes.

Use black cookie icing to draw on mouth, hair, and lines for glasses. (see above image).

And, BAM that’s seriously all there is to it. What a fun idea for a kids birthday party too. Right:)!

  • melting pot (optional, but super handy)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Rice Krispy Treats
  • 1 bag yellow candy melt
  • 1 bag blue candy melts
  • Edible Eyes
  • 1 tube gray cookie icing
  • 1 tube black cookie icing

Instructions
 

  • Start out by unwrapping each Rice Krispy Treat and set aside for later.
  • Melt candy blue candy melts
  • Dip half of the Rice Krispy Treat into the blue candy melt and set on parchment paper until it’s hardened.
