French Toast Mug Recipe with Icing
If you’re looking for a fast, fun, and creative way to save a mess while cooking breakfast and still have something yummy like French toast, then you are in the right spot. Without a doubt, you’re going to fall head over heels for this French Toast with Powder Sugar Icing in a Mug recipe.
I’ve made Ramon Noodles in a mug, as well as a few other things, but never in my life have I thought about French Toast had my dear old friend Bobbie not helped me with the recipe.
Special thanks to the wonderful gal and awesome friend, Bobby for creating this recipe and allowing me to post it on my website. She used to have a blog called Dishin With Rebelle! She’s was such an amazing blogger and helped me along the way, when I was first starting out with Jenns Blah Blah Blog. Bobby, if you read this big hugs to you and thank you for your friendship. If I am being honest, she is probably one of the many bloggers who inspired me to start creating recipes years ago.

French Toast Mug Recipe with Icing
Ingredients
- 2 medium slices of bread your choice of white, wheat, etc is fine.
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2-3 drops vanilla depending on your taste
- 2-3 sprinkles cinnamon depending on your taste buds more or less
- 3 tablespoons milk or water I prefer milk, but water will do the trick
- 1/2 cup powder sugar
Instructions
- First, you will need to cut your bread into cubes and spray the inside of the mug of your choice with your favorite cooking spray.
- In a separate bowl or mug, combine the egg, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla and whisk together until it’s well mixed.
- Pour the mixture into the mug with the squared bread, and squish your bread until it is soaked. Place in the microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes or until the egg is totally cooked.
- In a small bowl or large mug, mix powdered sugar with your milk or water. You’re going to need the mixture to be runny, but not too runny. Once you have the desired consistency, pour it over your French toast while it’s nice and hot.
