Stuffed Sausage Biscuits and Gravy
Ingredients
- Sausage to your liking
- 1 package biscuits
- 1 package white gravy mix or flour depending on whether you are making your gravy homemade or not.
- water/milk depends on how you are making your gravy.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Prepare cookie sheet or baking pan by spraying with non-stick spray.
- Cook sausage
- Add gravy mix or flour if you are making your own gravy to the sausage and mix. I just like to do it this way because it helps me avoid any lumps but you do it however you want to do your gravy.
- Add water/milk called for in the gravy package or if you are making your own add milk and pepper or seasonings you like.
- Cook gravy until it's nice and thick and allow to cool a bit.Ā You want the gravy as thick as possible when you put them inside the biscuits.
- Roll out your refrigerated biscuit.
- Add heaping spoonful to the center of the biscuit and pinch edges together to make sure they're nice and closed.Ā Then pull the edges together so they are all in one place on the bottom of the biscuit and pinch them together again.Ā Just double make sure the gravy is nice and sealed up inside the biscuit.
- You can brush the tops of the biscuits with butter if you would like.Ā I personally didn't because I'm a plain jane sausage biscuit and gravy fan.Ā Nothing fancy here, but you do you.
- Place biscuits with pinched sides down on baking sheet, pop those bad boys in the oven for 15 mins or until they are done.
- Remove from oven, allow to cool for a few mins and enjoy.Ā You can dip them in a little bowl of gravy on the side
