  • Paprika

  • Cayenne
  • Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  • First slice all your pickles. I prefer thinner slices of pickles but my daughter likes thicker slices. Which tends to work out nicely because the slices tend to vary in size.
  • egg batter for fried pickles
  • Whisk milk and eggs together in a bowl big enough to hold ingredients and dip pickles into
  • p.a.n. cornmeal
  • Add flour, cornmeal, seasoning into a medium sized bowl and mix with a fork until it’s well blended. I always taste the mixture to make sure I have the right mixture of seasonings.
  • Place pickles into milk mixture and lets them sit until oil is warmed to in a deep pot or fryer to 350 degrees.
  • Remove pickles from milk mixture and place them into cornmeal mixture and coat thoroughly.

  • Remove any extra cornmeal mixture and place into warm oil.
  • Fry until a golden brown color, normally 3 to 5 minutes. Be sure to stir them around in the heated oil and flip them if needed, so they cook nice and even.
  • Remove them from the grease and allow to drain on a plate covered with paper towels.
  • Repeat until all pickles are fried.
