Fried Pickles

Raise your hand if you like fried pickles!  I hope so, but if you haven’t, it’s totally okay because we have an awesome Fried Pickles Recipe to share with you.

I love cooking and baking for my family, especially now that Iā€™m home full-time blogging.  Things tend to get a little crazy when it comes to cooking now because my sister lives with us, and she loves to cook as well.  Weā€™ve had to come to an agreement, who does what, and which nights we get to do them.  It is only fair, right?

It works out perfectly because we both like to cook different things.  Itā€™s a win-win for everyone involved because we eat something different all the time.  Plus, weā€™re always trying new things, which most of the time is a success.  However, there have been a few fails, lol.

One thing my sister and I both agree on is fried pickles!  I thought everyone loved fried pickles until I realized my husband has never had them.  When my sister or I make them, theyā€™re all gone before Shawn is home from work.  He has been asking me to make fried pickles for a while now, so I figured I would surprise him and not allow anyone to touch them until he got home.

One of my favorite things to make and eat is fried pickles.  Theyā€™re amazing, and if you havenā€™t tried them trust me, theyā€™re tasty.  I remember the first time someone told me about fried pickles.  I thought they had lost their mind, but then I tried one.  Theyā€™re the perfect, especially using cornmeal in the batter.

Directions:

sliced pickles in a bowl

First slice all your pickles.  I prefer thinner slices of pickles but my daughter likes thicker slices.  Which tends to work out nicely because the slices tend to vary in size.

eggs and milk in a bowl

Whisk milk and eggs together in a bowl big enough to hold ingredients and dip pickles into.

pan corn meal in a bowl

Add flour, cornmeal, seasoning into a medium sized bowl and mix with a fork until itā€™s well blended.  I always taste the mixture to make sure I have the right mixture of seasonings.
