Okay, so I’m not even going to fib, this idea came from a video I saw on Facebook where this guy made some mashed potato spoon fries. I was like, WHAT, I have to try this. Well, let’s just say I epically failed because I just assumed it was simple, mash thee potato’s put them in a mold, freeze then fry. Well, needless to say that did not work out at all. I probably should have paid better attention to the video, lol.

I was super bummed about my failed attempt at my Mashed Potato French Fries made using the spoon mold and I told my daughter about it and BAM she was like, “Mom I think you are probably supposed to put cornstarch in them.” She is so smart, I seriously never even thought about cornstarch, lol. I did do a little double take by checking out another video making Mashed Potato French Fries to make sure and she was without a doubt right, I should have added cornstarch.

So, this isn’t an original recipe at all, I did not come up with the idea all by myself, so I cannot take all the credit for this amazing appetizer! It started with the spoons, confirmed the cornstarch, and figured out how much of each ingredient to add. Regardless, they are delish and I highly suggest taste testing after adding your seasonings just to be sure you have them seasoned to your liking.

Anyway, I won’t bore you too much with everything we will get right to the recipe. I certainly hope you enjoy this Mashed Potato French Fries recipe or that it at least helps you spark a few of your own creative ideas.
