I love the holiday season, especially because I get to spend a little extra time doing fun crafts, DIY projects, and, of course, baking & creating fun stuff like the cute Reindeer Christmas Cookie Pops with my kids. Then we get to gift them to those we care about.

If you like these cookie pops be sure to check out Christmas Tree Oreos and Melted Snowman Oreos.

The kids have been asking and asking for something to give to their teachers and friends at school for Christmas. I think these Oreo pops will do the trick, don’t you?

How to Make Reindeer Christmas Cookie Pops

Ingredients:

  • Oreo Cookies
  • Pretzels (twisted; I used the small ones, but normally I use the large). It’s up to you, they look cute either way; I just prefer bit antlers.)
  • Candy eyes or white chocolate chips
  • Red hots or another red candy
  • 1 – 2 bags chocolate melting wafers
  • Lollipop sticks or popsicle sticks

Directions:

I suggest getting organized before starting. Things can get a little crazy when melted chocolate is involved.

First, you’ll melt the candy melts in the microwave or melting pot.

Carefully insert the lollipop stick into the cream on the cookie. You’ll want it as far in the cookie as you can, without it poking out the top.

Repeat until all the cookies are done. The chocolate should be just about dry on the first cookies by the time you’re finished with all the cookies. If now allow the chocolate on the cookies to dry.

Next, you’ll dip the cookie into the melted chocolate and cover completely. Place the coated cookie on parchment paper with the back side down.

Place two pretzels on each side of the top of the cookie so they look like antlers. Press each pretzel in the cream between the cookies.

While the chocolate is still wet, add the eyes and nose to the cookie pops.

Repeat until all cookies are complete and allow to dry thoroughly. You don’t have to, but I like to put mine in the refrigerator to speed things up a bit.

Once the reindeer cookies are completely dry, you can cover with plastic (optional) and store in Rubbermaid Take-Along.

The Reindeer Christmas Cookie pops are a great choice if you are looking to share some homemade goodies with family and friends. You could even send your kids to school with a few.

I mean, you can’t make something so darn cute and keep it all to yourself, can you?

Do you make homemade gifts for family and friends this holiday season?  If so, what’s your favorite thing to make for everyone, or what will you be sharing with others this year?
