Sherbet Cupcakes

What all do you need to make these delicious cupcakes? I’ll list a few of the items below, but for the complete ingredients and directions, feel free to skip down to the printable recipe card.

  • Flour
  • Cornstarch
  • Baking powder and soda
  • Salt
  • Sweet cream butter
  • Oil
  • Sugar
  • Eggs buttermilk and whole milk
  • Powder sugar
  • Packet of Orange Creamsicle and Key Lime flavoring
Sherbet Cupcakes

Directions:

Start out by preheating your oven to 350 degrees and preparing your cupcake pan using cupcake liners.

In a bowl, combine your flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Now mix completely.

In a bowl with a mixer, mix butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add in oil. Mix

Add in the eggs, one at a time and mix until each is blended after each addition.

Add in the vanilla

Combine both milks into another bowl.

Add in flour mixture, alternating between a bit of flour mixture and milk.

Scoop batter into the liners and bake for 21 minutes.

Sherbet Frosting:

Frosting

Scoop into a star-tipped piping bag and pipe onto cupcakes.

Add all ingredients into a standing mixer and mix until stiff peaks form.

Separate into 2 dishes and add in 1/2 of each flavor into the bowls.

Ingredients
  

Cupcakes

  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 5 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 6 tablespoons oil
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 Larger eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Frosting

  • 1 cup unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 4 cup powder sugar
  • 5 tablespoons powder sugar
  • Duncan Hines flavor packets Orange Creamsicle and key lime.
