We have been super pumped for the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, now available on Blu-ray! So we decided to celebrate with these hard-boiled dinosaur eggs.
We have family movie night about once a week, but this is an extra special family movie night. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is on the menu. Which is what made me want to add to our themed family movie night by making the hard-boiled dinosaur eggs.
Hard-Boiled Dinosaur Eggs for Jurassic World
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom features more than an hour of bonus content.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom continues the thrilling series we all grew up loving. The adventure 65 million years in the making is still captivating audiences of all ages, and I loved the new chapter, the fact that there are MORE dinosaurs than any other Jurassic film. Oh, and I love that Blue is still around. I can’t tell you how exciting it was to see Blue and Own interact again.
Before I jump into showing you how to make the JURASSIC WORLD Dinosaur Eggs, I would love to share a little about our movie night. It was one of the best movie nights we have had in a long time, and it started from the second the girls got home from school.
Let’s say I wasn’t the only one who was feeling our JURASSIC WORLD family movie night. My two girls were excited about our Jurassic World family movie night too. Mattie found the dinosaur hand stamp in our goodie box and wouldn’t allow anyone into the room until they had been stamped by her dinosaur stamp.
Yes, before you could enter the room, you had to have a stamp and trust me Mattie checked.
Oh, and you could not watch the movie unless you had your #TeamJurrasic shirt on. Trust me on this one; my youngest sent me back to my room to change. Yes, even after I made them hard-boiled dinosaur eggs and provided fun Jurassic World snacks for the movie.
It was time to sit down and put on our new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Blu-Ray on! I don’t know what was better, the movie or watching my kid’s reaction to the movie. It took me back to when I was their age and watched the first Jurassic Park movie with my parents. Gosh, I know, I know the first Jurassic Park movie is old, lol.
There are plenty of reasons to watch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. It’s a great show, and we will be watching it again. I enjoyed watching my kids; it was an awesome way to travel back in time to when I first saw Jurassic Park with my parents.
Of course, the special effects of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom are much more impressive, and the leap in time opens a new world filled with incredible, breathtaking scenes, and don’t forget more dinosaurs. My family loves all the Jurassic films, and we are happy to have added Jurassic World:
Hard-Boiled Dinosaur Eggs
Ingredients
- 6 eggs more if you want to make more
- Food coloring
- Water
- Glasses
Instructions
- Start by boiling your eggs. There are several methods you can use; just stick to whatever works best for you.
- Allow the eggs to cool and crack them all over. FYI, it’s okay if there are pieces missing.
- Add just enough water to your cups to cover the eggs.
- Add food coloring to each cup. I added about 6 drops.
- Drop one cracked egg into your cups and allow it to sit for a few hours in the refrigerator. The longer you can let them sit, the bolder your colors will be.
- Remove the egg from the cup, peel off the shell, and enjoy your fun hard-boiled dinosaur eggs.
Have you picked up a copy of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom? If so, how are you planning to celebrate your movie night?
