Absolutely Best Rolo Cake Recipe
To make this rolo cake recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 1 cups white sugar
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 package Rolo candy
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350. Grease one nine inch round pans.
- In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla, mix for 2 minutes. Stir in the boiling water last.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
- Spread caramel buttercream on the cake and top with a Rolo or five. Itās all up to you how many Roloās you place on your cake.
Caramel Butter Cream Frosting
- Cream shortening and butter with mixer. Add caramel and vanilla.
- Stir in sugar, one cup at a time. Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
